What you would do
As a member of our field team, you’ll play a vital role in carrying out Emata’s field activities and helping us scale our impact. Your work involves training and supporting cooperatives, crop aggregators, and farmers across value chains like dairy, coffee, and more. You’ll also act as a bridge between our technical and product teams and the users, gathering feedback to improve our services while promoting Emata and its vision.
Specifically, your responsibilities include:
- Select, sign-up, onboard, train and support agricultural cooperatives
- Lead farmer onboarding campaigns and loan launch events
- Drive conversion across your portfolio
- Support partner repayments and follow up with farmers
- Build relationships with partners like NGOs, apex bodies, cooperatives, and farmers
- Observe and collect user feedback to support continuous product development
- Give product presentations and demos
You will work closely with the Emata operations and product team. This position is based in Mbarara at our office at Innovcation Village. The position is full-time.

- Ability to build and manage relationships with people from all walks of life
- Commercial drive and ability to convert prospective clients
- Professional command of English and Runyankole
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer service attitude
- Self-starting and can-do mentality
- Computer proficiency
- Driving license
- Prior experience in agriculture is an added advantage
